Taft Dance moving to Friday Nights: Next month's Taft Dance will be Friday, September 17th, and will be our first one on a Friday night. Ecclesia has been having such success with their Sunday morning services that they're having to expand and offer Saturday evening services. They need first to take care of their congregation so that bumps us to Friday nights. They're actually planning on moving to a larger location in the Spring and since they seem to like us, we're in their plans to take us with them :)
Once that happens we may be moving back to Saturday nights but, you never know, we may fall in love with Friday nights.

Our Demitasse dance will now take place each n' every Saturday... period. So if you want it, there will be dancing every Saturday at Té and once a month, usually on the third Friday, at Taft St.
Please also see that we're doing some special fundraising for the next month through the next Taft Dance :)

We have a new session of our Monday evening Essential Swing Dance Classes beginning this next Monday on September 13th (which is also Maricarmen's birthday!!). Please note that our Guided Swing Práctica (as our “Essentially Swing” Class) continues each Monday night. It's now for 2 hours, from 8:30-10:30pm. We're having a great crowd these days so come check us out and dance for a bit!!
The Práctica is still just $3 for most and is Drop-in so you don't have to commit to a 6-week session, but rather can just come when you can. See the rest of the details - and the discounts for ScS, HSDS & RSDS Swing ...there's even a discount if you get a Latte or something from the Barista!

Last month's Essential Blues Moves workshop by Stefani was really well attended and she and her assistants did a fantastic job! This was a unique opportunity for Houston and we hope we can look forward to more Blues from Stefani.
